Installation recommendations for "ИОН"® fresh air valve
"ИОН"® FAV is designed for installation in two basic options:
1) between the sill and the heating radiator;
2) on the wall to the right or to the left of the window at a height of more than 2 m.

Option 1
Installation of "ИОН"® fresh air valve in the middle over the heating radiator. Mark the center of a hole for the thermal and acoustic insulation pipe at the height of 60-80 mm from the heating radiator. Note: The design is intended for the most easy and adaptable installation. However, if the work is to be done at height we recommend you to evaluate the possibility of convenient and secure attachment of the external housing beforehand.
- Drill a horizontal through hole with a diamond bit (ɸ80 mm).
- Install the thermal and acoustic insulation pipe inside this hole, cut it off even with the wall from both outside and inside. The hole diameter is calculated in such a way that the pipe sits tight. It is recommended to install the pipe as shown in Fig. 3.
- Mount the outer flange onto the pipe (no additional fasteners needed). When installing, pay attention to the marking "bottom" on the flange (see Fig. 4). Note: Observe the safety instructions for mounting the outer flange at height.
- Mount the internal flange onto the pipe and fix it to the wall with four dowel nails or self-tapping screws (outside the scope of supply).
- Install the filter element inside the internal flange.
- Fix the regulator to the flange on the wall.

Option 2
Installation of "ИОН"® fresh air valve on the wall next to the window at a height of more than 2 m. Note: The design is intended for the most easy and adaptable installation. However, if the work is to be done at height we recommend you to evaluate the possibility of convenient and secure attachment of the external housing beforehand.
- Mark the center of a hole for installing the thermal and acoustic insulation pipe at a height of more than 2 m and at a distance of 180-300 mm from the window.
- Drill a horizontal through hole with a diamond bit (ɸ80 mm).
- Install the thermal and acoustic insulation pipe inside this hole, cut it off even with the wall from both outside and inside. The hole diameter is calculated in such a way that the pipe sits tight. It is recommended to install the pipe as shown in Fig. 3.
- Mount the outer flange onto the pipe (no additional fasteners needed). When installing, pay attention to the marking "bottom" on the flange (see Fig. 4). Note: Observe the safety instructions for mounting the outer flange at height.
- Mount the internal flange onto the pipe and fix it to the wall with four dowel nails or self-tapping screws (outside the scope of supply).
- Install the filter element inside the internal flange.
- Fix the regulator to the flange on the wall.
